Jim is a shareholder of Braver PC and joined Braver PC with the merger of Braver and Prescott, Chatellier, Fontaine, Wilkinson, LLP, in Providence, Rhode Island.
Jim has 22 years of public accounting experience providing audit, accounting services and computer technology consulting to clients. Additionally, he provides tax and other consulting services and has experience with SEC filings and compliance matters.
He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and North Carolina, and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Jim has recently been appointed to the Executive Board of New England Peer Review, Inc., returning to the organization after serving from 1995 to 2001. Additionally, he is a former member of the AICPA Technical Standards Committee and its Governmental sub-group.
He has been awarded the Certified Information Technology Professional designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in recognition of his knowledge and experience in the technology field.
Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bryant University. He lives in Portsmouth with his wife and two sons.
