Bob joined Braver PC in 2001 as the firm’s first chief operating officer and now functions as the primary business development and marketing executive. He has an extensive background in professional services management, having served for 12 years as executive director of three Massachusetts law firms ranging in size from 70 to 300 attorneys. He previously served in a variety of controller, chief financial and senior administrative officer positions at publicly and privately held companies including the Shawmut Bank, Damon Corporation, Foster Medical Corporation, and Nixdorf Computer Corporation.

For the three years prior to joining Braver, Bob was a full-time adjunct professor of accounting and business communications in the undergraduate and graduate school programs at Bryant University in Rhode Island. He has been a guest speaker at the Law Firm Administrator Graduate Program at the Denver School of Law, the national Legal Marketing Association annual meeting, and an international law firm managing partner forum given in Salzburg, Austria.  He has also been an adjunct lecturer at Boston University’s Graduate School of Business and at Stonehill College.

Bob holds an MBA from the Boston College Carroll School of Management, a BS in Accounting from Providence College, and has completed post graduate banking, financial and credit management programs at Columbia University and the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He served as a regular army infantry, airborne, and finance officer with the US Army, Europe, and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service as Deputy Finance Officer, VII Corps, Stuttgart, Germany

He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPA’s, and presently serves as a member of the finance committee of the Kennedy Donovan Center, a $20 million human services agency serving 4,500 learning and physically disabled clients throughout southeastern Massachusetts. He is also a board member of the Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston.

Bob lives in Foxboro where he and his wife, Louise, have raised four sons. He is an active tennis player, a jazz and classical pianist, and an avid student of Eastern philosophy and consciousness studies.
