Fred has over 35 years of experience in public accounting. He has an extensive background in the health care industry including managed care contract negotiations, medical practice mergers and dissolutions, admission of new principals, practice valuations including testifying as an expert witness, operations analysis and other management advisory services. In addition, he has expertise in working with law firms, consulting firms and other service businesses.
Prior to joining Braver as a principal, Fred was managing partner of Katz, Baltimore & Company, P.C., for 26 years.
Fred holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Bentley College. Fred is an Affiliate of the Medical Group Management Association and is a member of the Harvard Medical School Financial Aid Committee. He has also served as Corporator of a bank and advisor to the compensation committee of a multi-specialty surgical group. Fred is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Tax Division of the AICPA and Chairperson of the MSCPA’s Committee for Physicians, Dentists and other Health Care Providers.
