Walter joined Braver Business Strategies as Managing Director, Human Capital Consulting, in 2008. As a Human Capital business advisor, his focus is on identifying critical organizational and people issues that impact business performance. He works with clients to develop practical ways to improve performance through enhanced HR practices that deliver value to the business.

Prior to joining Braver Business Strategies, Walter’s experience included roles as Vice President, Talent Management & Strategic Staffing, for The Hartford Financial Services Group, Corporate Vice President of Executive Development at Cablevision, and Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of United States consulting operations for Saville & Holdsworth, Ltd., (SHL), a publicly traded international human resources consulting firm. Walter was also an EVP and principal at Navient, a startup HR software and consulting firm, as well as a partner with Hurst Associates, a regional consulting firm in Boston that focused on executive coaching and development

Over the past twenty years he has worked with all types of organizations from startups to Fortune 100 companies over a variety of industries from financial services to media and manufacturing. His experience as a consultant, internal executive and operating manager, allows him to address HR issues from a broad business perspective. He provides services in the following areas: Employee Selection; Employee Engagement; Performance Management; Succession and Talent Planning; Change Management; Organizational Design; as well as Leadership Assessment and Coaching programs.

Walter is a licensed psychologist who received his Ph.D. from Boston College, his Master's degree from Columbia University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College.
