Asset Allocation

This is a long term, buy and hold approach to investing. We design an asset allocation appropriate for each client using software which employs Modern Portfolio Theory. The resulting plan is implemented through the use of no-load, no transaction fee mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), or no-load variable annuities and asset allocation and fund selections are reviewed on a periodic basis. A portfolio invested in this manner will be subject to market risk at all times but Braver attempts to reduce this risk through diversification by including asset classes (or market segments) with low correlation in varying proportions, and also by dollar cost averaging, where equal investments are made on a periodic basis over time to reduce the possibility that a single investment is being made during the time of a market high.

Your money is invested in your name. Braver manages accounts under a limited power of authority, permitting exchanges from one fund to another, the sending of redemptions in check form drawn to the registered owner of the account and mailed to the address of record, or the wiring of funds into a similarly registered account at another financial institution. Because of our status as a large registered investment advisor, Braver has established institutional relationships with many financial companies that offer us preferential services not available to retail investors.

This is a long-term investment program. Reviews of performance, asset allocation, and mutual fund selections with subsequent adjustments must be completed at least annually but may occur more frequently if the client desires. Modifications in the portfolio may be required as a result of: changes in the client's personal or financial status; poor relative performance of a mutual fund selection(s); deviations from the allocation targets due to the relative performance of the various financial markets; or revisions in the future projections of these markets. This program includes all of the details required for implementation including completion of documentation and paperwork, subsequent transactions, and verification of transactions. Quarterly statements will be produced detailing values and performance. The minimum investment in this program is $100,000, which may consist of more than one account, provided that each account contains at least $40,000.
